Multi-Stop Route Planning with Real Appointment Times

Most route planners stop at "here's the best order." RouteWren also works out when you'll get to each stop, allowing for the drive, the visit and your lunch, so you can tell people a real time and keep it.

Free for 14 days, up to 20 stops. No card needed. From $12/month CAD after that.

From a List of Addresses to a Timed Day

Add Your Stops

Type them in, paste rows from a spreadsheet, or upload a CSV. You can even forward an email to add a stop.

Set Up the Day

Your start time, how long each visit takes, breaks, and the most stops you want in a day.

Route and Time

RouteWren puts the stops in a smart driving order and gives each one a visit time that fits the drive.

Text and Drive

Send everyone their time in one tap, then open the whole day in Google Maps.

How Do I Plan a Route with Multiple Stops?

Start with the list you already have. A stop needs a name and an address; a phone number or email lets you send them their time, and a reference number, due date, visit type and notes are optional. If your list lives in a spreadsheet, a claims system export or an email from a client, paste the rows (with the header row) or upload a CSV. RouteWren matches the columns, shows you a preview before anything is saved, and updates existing stops if you import the same list again, so a refreshed list doesn't leave you with duplicates.

Then pick a date and tap Plan this day. RouteWren suggests a day's worth of stops that go well together, with your most pressing work first, up to your daily maximum. Untick anything you don't want, add anything you do, and tap Route and time.

Times That Allow for the Visit, Not Just the Drive

A route is only useful for booking if the times hold up. RouteWren builds each time from four things:

  • Your start time. Set a usual day start, or change it for one day.
  • Visit length. Set a usual time on site, set times by stop number (say 45 minutes for the first four stops and an hour after that), or give one hard-looking job its own length.
  • Breaks. Add lunch or anything else, every day or just one day. No visit gets booked over a break.
  • Drive time. The drive between each stop is built in, so the gaps in your day match the roads you'll actually be on, not a guess.

When you text people, you choose whether the message says "around 10:30" or gives a window like "between 10:30 and 11:30," which gives you some room if a visit runs long.

Re-Plan Without Breaking Your Word

Days change. Someone cancels, a new urgent job comes in, or you want to add two stops on the way home. Times you've already sent or confirmed don't change on you, so you can re-plan as often as you like and the appointments you've promised still hold. If one can no longer be kept, RouteWren tells you rather than quietly moving it.

If someone declines, their time becomes an open spot. Tap Fill to offer it to someone still waiting, or switch on automatic filling (off by default) and RouteWren offers the time for you, so a cancellation doesn't leave a hole in your day.

Due Dates and Planning a Whole Week

If your work comes with deadlines, put them on the stops. Plan several days fills a week at once: urgent work goes first, each day stays in one part of town, no stop lands on two days, and you check the list before anything is saved. It's a practical way to turn a pile of 60 files into five tidy days without drawing circles on a map.

Why Not Just Use Google Maps?

Google Maps is excellent at getting you from one place to the next, and RouteWren hands off to it for navigation. It just isn't built for planning a day of appointments.

On the Day tab, Directions opens every stop that's still ahead of you, in order, in Google Maps. Google Maps has its own limit on stops per trip, so on a long day tick stops visited as you go and Directions opens only what's left. Home always shows your next stop with one-tap directions.

Map View, Exports and Records

See the day on a map before you commit to it. Every route can be downloaded as a CSV or printed to PDF, with each stop's time, time on site, drive times and distances, contact times and the messages sent and received. Routes are deleted 14 days after their date, so export anything you need to keep for your file notes. Your mileage log stays after the route is gone.

Made for Appointment-Based Field Work

RouteWren is for one person with a car and a list of people to see, not a fleet with a dispatcher.

Once the route is set, the next step is telling people. See appointment texting from your own number.

Route Planner Questions

How many stops can I put on one route?

There is no fixed limit per route. You set your own daily maximum in Settings, and your plan sets how many stops you can put on routes each month: 30 on Starter, 80 on Plus, 200 on Pro, or unlimited. See pricing.

Can I set a time for one stop and plan the rest around it?

Yes. Times you've already sent or confirmed don't change on you, and your new plan works around them. If one of them can't be kept, RouteWren tells you instead of quietly changing it.

Does RouteWren give turn-by-turn directions?

No. RouteWren plans the order and the times, then Directions opens your stops in order in Google Maps, which does the turn-by-turn navigation. Home also has one-tap directions to your next stop.

Can I import my stops from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Paste rows from any spreadsheet, including the header row, or upload a CSV. RouteWren matches the columns, shows a preview, and updates existing stops instead of duplicating them when you import the same list again.

Does RouteWren track my location?

No. RouteWren does not use GPS tracking. Your route is planned from your stops' addresses, and you tick stops visited yourself.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 14 days free with up to 20 stops, and no card needed. Every feature is on every plan, so the trial is the full product.
