Automatic, works with iPhone. Texts go out from a Twilio number you rent. Twilio charges per text and per number.
Free. Nothing to set up. Each person gets an email with a button to confirm, pick another time or say they can’t make it. Replies land in your inbox. Use it alone or alongside texts.
Every notice can carry a private confirm link. One tap and the stop updates itself: no reply to read, no button for you to press.
RouteWren is not affiliated with httpSMS or Twilio. If you use either, you open your own account with them and they bill you directly. Those costs are separate from, and in addition to, your RouteWren plan.

Questions
What do I need to start?
A name and an address for each stop. Add a phone number or email to send them their time. Type them in or paste a list from any spreadsheet.
Do texts come from my own number?
With manual texting or the httpSMS option, yes: texts go out from your own phone and number, so people recognize you and replies come straight back. With Twilio, they come from a Twilio number you rent.
What does texting cost?
RouteWren doesn't charge per text. Manual texting is free. httpSMS is free for about 200 texts a month and has paid plans above that. Twilio charges per text and per number. Our pricing page has typical monthly costs for each plan. If you use httpSMS or Twilio, they bill you directly; RouteWren is not affiliated with either.
Do the people I visit need to install anything?
No. They get a normal text or email. The confirm link opens in any browser.
How long does setup take?
About 2 minutes to start with manual texting or email. Automatic texting with httpSMS takes about 10 minutes, Twilio about 15.
Does it work with my calendar?
Yes. Turn on the calendar feed in Settings and add the private link to Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. Your routes show up there and update by themselves.
Can I send messages in French?
Yes. Choose French for your messages and dates and times are written in French (“mardi 3 novembre vers 10 h 30”). There’s starter wording in English and French for each trade.
How long do you keep my routes?
14 days after the route date. After that the route is deleted for good, with its stops, timing, texts and emails, so old personal details aren’t kept longer than needed. Before then you can export any route, or all of them at once, as a spreadsheet or a PDF. Your mileage log stays.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. RouteWren runs in your browser and can be added to your home screen on iPhone or Android. Automatic texting on iPhone uses the Twilio option; httpSMS needs an Android phone.
Can I email instead of texting?
Yes. Choose Email only, or Text and email, in Settings. Emails come from RouteWren on your behalf with your name on them, and replies go straight to your own email address. Each one has a button to confirm or change the appointment. Email is included in every plan.
Will iPhone users see my texts?
Newer iPhones can file texts from unknown numbers in a separate list. Make sure your template says who you are and asks for a reply: once someone replies, your number counts as known. If you've texted them before, or they have your number saved, your text arrives as normal.
What counts as a stop?
A stop counts once in a month when you put it on a route dated in that month. Adding or importing stops is free, and moving a stop to another day in the same month doesn't count it twice.
What happens when the free trial ends?
No card is needed for the trial, so nothing is charged automatically. You can still see your stops and routes; pick a plan to keep scheduling and texting.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel in Settings > Your plan > Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Is my data private?
Each account's stops, routes and texts are kept separate, and no other account can see them. We don't sell data. You're responsible for having permission to text the people you add; see our Terms and Privacy Policy.
